[campus pride]

Campus Pride – Community Advocacy Campaigns for Safe Universities is a project which oversees the creation of a safe and welcoming space and a climate of acceptance for LGBTQIA+ students in Romania.

Despite being aware that this endeavour is far from being simple, we believe that it is vital for all current and future students that aspire towards a university of the future, one in which each and every one of our identities is accepted, respected and valued.

We’re working together for an inclusive Europe!

[what we seek]

We plan to determine together what are the realities within which LGBTQIA+ students study in Romania via a comprehensive consulting process which will bring together activists, students, professors, specialists and decision-makers. We aim to observe closely, together, the inclusion policies of the Romanian university system and to devise a system of evaluation for universities and faculties at a national level, through the use of the Campus Pride Index.

[Campus Pride national report]

Here is the National Report that analyzed the level of inclusion of LGBTQIA+ students in four large universities in Romania (University of Bucharest, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, University of West in Timișoara, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca), but in other universities throughout the country as well.

The project is implemented by MozaiQ LGBT Association in partnership with Pride Romania, Identity.Education and Samtökin ’78 and benefits from a 243,505 euros grant from Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants Grants 2014 -2021.
